Carl Buffington

As Chief Growth Officer for Koniag Government Services (KGS), Carl provides executive leadership to the team in collaboration of cross-functional teams, capabilities development, strategic growth both organically and acquisitively, and assists in the oversight and management including budgeting and strategic business partnerships.  Carl has over 20 years of experience in the technology space, including executive operational and business development / technology roles.

Before joining KGS, Carl helped lead the strategic vision for coupling operational drivers, high caliber staff, and forward-facing technologies to meet customer needs in a $400M portfolio across Federal Intelligence, Civilian, National Security, and Health IT markets. Previously, he was the CEO and President of a software development company specializing in leading edge technology solutions for mobile, web, and cloud solutions.

Carl has a BS in Computer Information Systems and sits on the Board of Advisors for the University of Northern Colorado College of Business, his alma mater. He has also been an active participant in several Government/Industry organizations supporting innovation collaboration.
