Collaborative Efforts by Koniag Government Services Highlighted at AMSUS Annual Meeting

Koniag Government Services recently showcased its commitment to enhancing the transition experience for service members at the AMSUS – The Society of Federal Health Professionals Annual Meeting. The presentation, titled “Streamlining the Separation Health Assessment Process: Collaborative Efforts Between the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs,” highlighted the collaborative journey between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Veterans Affairs (VA) to improve the separation health assessment process.

The presentation underscored the importance of understanding the root causes of redundancy in health assessments and implementing data-driven solutions to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services to transitioning service members.

Maurice Johnson and Monica Melean from Koniag Government Services were among the key presenters at the event, along with Michael Swayze from the Defense Health Agency and Reginald Washburn from the Veterans Benefits Administration.

The collaborative efforts between the DoD and VA aim to address the challenges faced by service members as they transition from military to civilian life. By streamlining the separation health assessment process, the armed forces can better meet the healthcare needs of service members during this critical period.

“We are proud to have been part of this collaborative effort between the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs,” said Maurice Johnson of Koniag Government Services. “Our goal is to ensure that service members receive the support and care they deserve as they transition to civilian life.”

Through initiatives like these, Koniag Government Services continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting military personnel and veterans throughout their service journey. The company remains committed to leveraging its expertise to drive positive change and improve the well-being of those who have served our nation.
